Green electricity and an income for the people of Otley

Money for community initiatives is decreasing and things are likely to get worse. Otley could shield itself from these cuts by creating its own source of income.

OtleyGreen has received a very generous offer of land to build a community wind turbine. We believe that such a project is feasible and could be sited with negligible impact on the village. If successful it would raise thousands of £ every year for the next 20 years for the Otley community.

A project like this raises lots of questions. In order to gauge your views and hopefully answer your questions we are holding a public meeting at
8pm, Wednesday 9 March, Otley Village Hall.

This is a proposal from OtleyGreen. It will only go ahead if there is substantial support from the community.
The project is proving controversial amongst some people. Therrefore, obtaining views from a wide range of villagers, at the 9 March meeting, is very important. Please come along.
